A study of turbo coding and decoding using AR channel model

Abstract

The turbo coding and decoding using an autoregressive channel model were analyzed. It was found that the jitter like noise degrades the BER performance of the system. The results show that turbo coding and iterative decoding system provide a good BER performance in the perpendicular magnetic recording channel.
