    Abstract

This study is to estimate for the distribution of the electromagnetic noise around a PCB. FDTD method and experiment are used for the analysis of the electromagnetic noise. Simulation of the magnetic field Hx on a simple PCB model is corresponded with measurement. It appears that the frequency characteristics on the PCB is influenced by the standing waves on the printed line. As the low frequency component is still larger than high frequency noise around 20 cm from PCB, the low frequency noise is one cause of the EMI problem.
