A simple wire-tension measurement system

Abstract

Using an oscilloscope as a differential amplifier, we built a simple and easily constructed system for wire-tension measurements by means of detecting the 3rd-harmonic signal of a mechanically vibrating wire, caused by an oscillating electric force.
