A novel switched reluctance machine with windings and permanent magnets in the stator yoke

Abstract

This paper presents a novel switched reluctance (SR) machine which has both windings and permanent magnets in the stator yoke. Characteristics of the proposed SR machine operating as a motor and generator are estimated by a finite element method, and compare with that of conventional reluctance machines.
