Abstract

A novel Ni-catalysed CO2 reduction with N2H4·H2O was proposed. A 50% yield of formic acid with 99% selectivity was achieved by using a commercially available Ni powder catalyst. The proposed method is simple and environmentally friendly because it requires neither elaborately prepared catalysts, nor high-purity, high-pressure hydrogen.
