A new orthogonal-core type dc-ac converter for photovoltaic power system

Abstract

This paper reports a new orthogonal-core type dc-ac converter for connecting a dc source such as solar cells to an ac distribution line. The dc-ac converter is constructed with a pair of orthogonal-core square-wave choppers. Using the dc-ac converter, we can easily control the transferred power from the dc source to an ac distribution line. Good quality in its output power are obtained in the trial dc-ac converter.
