Abstract
A new orientation relationship OR4 between icosahedral phase and magnesium matrix is described. In this a 〈τ10〉-type zone axis is along the matrix hexagonal axis and a fivefold axis along hexagonal 〈100〉. This orientation relationship can be derived from the most commonly observed OR1 by a twinning of the icosahedral phase.
