Abstract

This paper presents new optimized approach for ballistic capture to the moon utilizing low thrust propulsion. The paper reveals the characteristics associate with the gravity capture and discuss about the approach path to the sphere of the influence of the moon, perturbed by the tidal acceleration of the Sun.
