Abstract

Description of mode-locked frequency-shifted feedback (FSF) fiber laser was presented. The oscillation characteristics of the mode-locked FSF laser were studied and mode locking was applied to FSF laser. The laser output consisted of a chirped frequency comb whose relative phases were locked. An increase in the sensitivity of the beat generated by the interference between the comb components was increased in comparison to that obtained by conventional FSF lasers.
