A mode-hop-free, frequency-tunable 40 GHz mode-locked fiber laser

Abstract

We have successfully realized a mode-hop-free, frequency-tunable 40 GHz mode-locked fiber laser by installing an optical etalon in the laser cavity. By tuning the etalon peak frequency, the laser frequency was continuously tuned over 1 GHz.
