Abstract

A method for active suppression of reflected sound waves based on the state feedback control was investigated. The method controls the sound intensity on a control boundary with an estimation of state variables by the state-space control strategy. The control performance of the method in a two-dimensional sound field was studied by computer simulation. The results showed that the control performance of the method would improve if the control points are far from the control sources and the number of control sources is increased.
