A field store system with single 1mbit field memory

Abstract

Using a single 1Mbit field memory with 6-bit resolution a 3Fsc-sampled field store system for NTSC video was developed. A data reduction method is used to store a whole field. The feature of dual data ports is suitable for various additional applications. The controller for this field store system is being implemented into a single CMOS ASIC chip.
