Abstract

The history of the development of adhesive fixed partial Dentures was reviewed and present clinical problems discussed. Longitudinal studies are not available because adhesive prostheses with 4-META adhesive resin were introduced only a few years ago. However, scientific advances will make placement of resinbonded metal prostheses a more stable, standard technique in fixed prosthodontics.
