Abstract

We present FDG-PET/CT findings in a case of sarcoidlike reactions developed 6 years after anticancer therapy for non-seminomatous germ cell tumors with multiple lymph nodes and lung metastases. The FDG-PET/CT study showed multiple foci of abnormal uptake in the mediastinal and bilateral hilar lymph nodes and the left iliac lymph nodes with SUVmax up to around 15, mimicking cancer recurrence. This condition is rare but should be considered in the differential diagnosis in cancer patients to avoid diagnostic error.
