Abstract

We reported a case of avascular necrosis of the right humeral head in a diver. Core decompression was successfully performed in the humeral head. Dynamic MRI showed good enhancement in the site of the core decompression. The good enhancement was thought to reflect the increased blood flow for the new bone formation. Dynamic MRI was useful to evaluate the condition of avascular necrosis of the humeral head.
