Abstract
A 27-year-old man was admitted for correction of nasal fracture. He presented with circulatory collapse and generalised erythema on induction of general anesthesia and during preparation of intradermal test for identifying the offending agent. As both of these responses occurred during intravenous infusion of lactated Ringer's solution with 5% maltose, anaphylactoid responses to this intravenous solution were strongly suspected.
