60 GHz radio-over-fiber for Gbps transmission

Abstract

The performance study of a 60GHz band 1.25Gbps radio-over-fiber system is presented in this paper. The bit error rate of a 60 GHz millimeter wave transmission radio-over-fiber system with and without an optical fiber under different single mode optical fiber lengths is investigated. The RF output power of the photo-detector is also presented when the tone signal (58.1GHz, 60GHz and 62.9GHz) is input to the radio-over-fiber system.
