58.8/39.2 GHz dual-modulus CMOS frequency divider with 9.2×5.2 μm core size

Abstract

A 58.8/39.2GHz dual-modulus inductor-less frequency divider is proposed. The divider was fabricated using 90nm CMOS with 9.2×5.2m core size. As a result, without using an inductor, the operating frequency was 40GHz in the divide-by-2 mode and 59GHz in the divide-by-3 mode at a power-supply voltage of 1.15V with a power consumption of 1.2mW.
