3D observation of terrace structures in a block copolymer thin film

Abstract

In this study, the terrace morphology in PS-b-PMMA copolymer thin films was studied by transmission electron microtomography (TEMT). After annealing at 170°C for 48 hours, the thin film, spin-coated on mica wafer, exhibited the terrace structures. We focused on the terrace structure with particular emphasis that it really is the periodic minimal surface or not.
