Abstract
Microphase-separated structures of an ABC-type triblock copolymer, i.e. poly(styrene-block-isoprene-block-(methyl methacrylate) (SIM) triblock copolymers, were studied. Due to their complicated three-dimensional (3D) structures, transmitted image alone do not offer even qualitative results from such ABC triblock copolymers. In the present study, transmission electron microtomography (TEMT) was utilized for direct 3D observation of the SIM copolymer morphology. We found that the SIM copolymer exhibited a double cylindrical morphology.
