160 gbit/s-600 km OTDM transmission using time-domain optical Fourier transformation

Abstract

We report on single-polarization 160 Gbit/s OTDM transmission with the OOK (on-off keying) format using time-domain optical Fourier transformation (OFT). Error-free transmission over 600 km is successfully demonstrated by eliminating waveform distortions with OFT.
