Abstract

We demonstrate a 140-Gbit/s, 128 QAM coherent optical transmission employing an LD-based injection-locked homodyne detection circuit. Low phase noise carrier-phase synchronization was achieved and a 140-Gbit/s data signal was successfully transmitted over 150 km.
