Abstract

A 100Gbit/s WDM (20Gbit/s X 5 channels) soliton data signal was successfully transmitted over 10000km using in-line synchronous modulation and narrow band optical filtering. A four-segment dispersion decreasing configuration was used to reduce the soliton interaction and the dispersive waves.
